United Mississippi Bank has always been committed
to the Miss-Lou community with strong representation in events
such as the Great Mississippi River Balloon Race, the River
City Run, the Blues Festival, the Juneteenth celebration,
the Minorville Jubilee, T.M. Jennings Baseball, Dixie Youth
Baseball, Miss-Lou Soccer, Natchez Girls Softball, the Miss-Lou
Cancer Relay for Life, the Adams County Heart Walk, the Chili
Cook off, the first annual Gumbo Cook off, and the Annual
Beast Feast at South of the Border. United Mississippi Bank
has been a partner in education since its inception and has
been a partner with Morgantown Elementary School since the
beginning. United Mississippi Bank participates in Shadow
Day sponsored by the Chamber and the local schools. United
Mississippi Bank stepped forward and offered scholarship monies
to entice teachers to come to the Natchez Adams County School
system. United Mississippi Bank has representatives in local
civic clubs, and serving as board members on the Natchez Adams
County Chamber of Commerce, the Natchez Downtown Development
Association, the Natchez Business and Civic League, the Adams
County Equestrian Center, the Wilkinson County Main Street
Association, and the Woodville Civic Club.
United Mississippi Bank was named 2003 Business of the Year
at the annual Natchez Adams County Chamber of Commerce banquet
held in December 2003.
